100% of all profits from the sale of “Memory Mitts” and “Travel Jewelry” are donated to children’s charities.

Peg’s mother knit mitts every year for charity.  In her later years her “quota” of mitts was one pair per month, giving her 12 pairs of mitts to donate to her church’s Christmas Mitt Tree.  The pattern for Memory Mitts was taught to Peg by her mother several years ago.  Peg’s mother passed away in 2011 at the age of 94 and since then Peg has kept up with her mother’s mitt donation to her church and has given over 164 pairs of mitts to children and organizations supporting children.

Each pair of “Memory Mitts” requires 3 – 6 hundred yards of yarn.  Left over wool is used to make the “Travel Jewelry”.  Peg selects yarns from around the world and takes special care in combining unique colours and textures to the “Jewelry”.  Each piece of “Travel Jewelry ” is made with a fastener to enable the pieces to be worn in a variety of ways.

Helen Van Sligtenhorst, owner of Harbour Bay Clothing and Gifts in Sarnia and long time friend of Peg Kivi, has generously promoted and sold Peg’s “Memory Mitts” and “Travel Jewelry” with 100% of all profits going to charity.

Since 2011 the sale of “Memory Mitts” and “Travel Jewelry” has raised over $13,000.00 in donations for children’s Charities.

Each “Travel Jewelry” neckpiece is $25.00
