About the Artist
Peg Kivi is originally from Smiths Falls Ontario, and now resides in Sarnia. She is interested in the evocative blending of rich colour and the subtle incorporation of repetition and texture. Her watercolours are loose, subtle and atmospheric, her acrylics are layered, rich and textural. Peg Kivi’s work has developed over the years from drawing and etching to watercolour and acrylic painting on canvas.
Painting and drawing have always been the cornerstones of my creative development. Many years as a secondary school art teacher along with my participation in various courses by noteworthy artists and my active involvement in the arts community have encouraged me to experiment in different media. The creative process provides me with a sense of personal rejuvenation.
